Document and location photography

Many people enjoy undertaking research themselves, but are unable to visit the archive where the documents they require are held. I will photograph documents (as a whole, and then in sections) and send to you electronically for you to peruse at your leisure. Please note: photography of archived records and documents is subject to copyright law and each repository has a relevant form that I will forward for you to complete. In a few cases, permission will be required from the depositor (or owner) of the document prior to photography taking place. The archive holding any such documents can facilitate this.

You also may wish to know what a building or place looks like, but are unable to visit in person. I can travel to and photograph the location and send the image(s) to you electronically.

Burial grounds can be daunting places, some are overgrown or not easy to access. You may not be able to travel down, or have the time, to search for a headstone yourself to photograph it. Email me the details of the burial ground and how many headstones you require photographing and I can give an idea of costs and timescale.
